Big Shoes to Fill...

You may remember the last time you heard that phase. It was likely in reference to someone stepping in to replace somebody who has set high standards in doing a great job.

My recent "aha moment" was that each of us were born with "big shoes to fill". We each have unique talents, perspectives, and gifts. I think one of our goals in life is to fill those shoes. Step one is accept this "shoe challenge" and then to define and practice how to actualize what is "you" to plant your unique footprint as you walk this planet.

We're getting metaphorical here and what triggered this was the upcoming parades in July. "Before the Parade Passes By" and "Don't Rain on My Parade" (Streisand: now there's a woman who fills her shoes!) are great message to not only fill your shoes but strut them out...

Big shoes... BIG LIFE!! (have FUN!)
