Serendipity-Do, Duh

We Bought a Zoo
One of my favorite works is serendipity. The definition is "making fortunate discoveries by accident". The discovery might be a person, a resource, a path in life that takes you on a journey you could not have ever imagined (much less planned).

1) Believe in the serendipitous nature of the universe. It often requires a (big) leap of faith... I like the quote from Matt Damon's character in "We Bought a Zoo" - "All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage, and I promise you, something GREAT will come of it." (Check out the official trailer and if you were on the edge about seeing this movie, I think the trailer will push you off the fence*).

2) Be willing to DO something. It requires an open heart, an open mind, and the willingness to listen to and act on those voices that often get muffled in the white noise, obligations, and headline stories... We need to tap into that inner wisdom (or higher power) that envisions us thriving in what we are destined to do.

Jim Rohn said "If you learn to set a good sail, the wind that blows will always take you to the dreams you want, the income you want, and the treasures of mind, purse, and soul you want." So, in short, "believe-act" or "Serendipity-DO (duh!)"

Have a GREAT 2012!!
